The Parnell Baths celebrated their first centenary at a Waitemata Local Board event last evening, at which Councillor Mike Lee, Pools & Leisure Manager Rob McGee and myself spoke. “It is my privilege to take part in today’s celebration of the 100th year of this Auckland’s only saltwater swimming pool – ‘the biggest seawater pool in the Dominion’ – an icon, tourist attraction and beloved local facility.”
