Robyn is a third-term City vision elected member of the Auckland District Health Board. She serves on the Community and Public Health; and the Disability Support Services Committees.

Robyn has worked in health services all her adult life. She worked as a nurse aid at St Helens maternity Hospital; as a School Dental Nurse; a Health Social Worker at Auckland and North Shore Hospitals; the General manager for Aged care and disability Support Services for the Auckland- northland region and as the Chief Executive of Caughey Preston Rest Home and Hospital.

She has served on the Eden-Epsom Community Board, as Vice-Chair of the HOPE Foundation, on the A+ Charitable trust, as the consultant establishing Cochlear Implant Services and also to the Selwyn Foundation and as a Board member of the Alcoholic Liquor Advisory Council.

Robyn lives in Freemans Bay; is married to Richard Northey, a Waitemata Local Board Member; and has three children and eight grandchildren. She is interested in reading, classical music, theatre, films and swimming.
