Albert-Eden Local Board

The Albert-Eden Local Board is in the Albert-Eden-Roskill Ward. The Local Board has 2 subdivisions called Owairaka and Maungawhau.
If you live in Pt Chevalier, Waterview, Mt Albert, Owairaka, Sandringham and Kingsland, you will have voted for local board members in the Owairaka Sub-division.
If you live in Balmoral, Mt Eden, Epsom or Green lane, you will have voted for local board members in the Maungawhai Sub-division.
These two subdivisions now come together as the Albert Eden Local Board. Some of the issues City Vision elected members will address are:

Chair of the Albert Eden Local Board and elected from the Maungawhau sub-division, Peter grew up in Auckland, is married and lives in Balmoral/Mt Eden. A university lecturer in management and former policy analyst in energy markets, ministerial private secretary and employment negotiator.
"I am committed to protecting the unique character and environment of our neighbourhoods. We don't want 'anything goes' development in areas under pressure like Mt Eden Village, Greenlane and Balmoral."

Deputy Chair of the Albert-Eden Local Board and elected from the Owairaka sub-division, Margi is a nurse with two young children. She has lived in Epsom, Sandringham & Waterview since 1971 and is Chair of Waterview School Board of Trustees and spokesperson for ‘Tunnel or Nothing’.
“As an experienced campaigner, protecting and promoting communities, I will work for good outcomes for the people of our area.”

Elected from the Owairaka sub-division, Helga is a longtime law librarian and legal information advocate, with the skills and determination to make the new Auckland a city where human and community values matter, and the best of our heritage is treasured.

Elected from the Maungawhau sub-division and previously a member of the Eden Albert Community Board, Simon is a lawyer, bringing up three boys in Mt Eden. He is the Chair of Balmoral School Board of Trustees.
“Success for the super city will require local communities to have strong voices. I will demand this takes place. I want to see Mt Eden and Epsom continue as great places to live.”
