I’ve been a member of the Albert-Eden Local Board since 2019. My background is in research and education, and I came to local politics through transport advocacy – getting a bike some years ago opened my eyes to how much work we need to do to make our transport system safer, fairer and more accessible.

My focus as a local board member is on supporting community and environmental groups, advocating for a safer, lower-carbon transport network, and standing up for a city that has housing for all.

I’m the local board representative on the Sandringham and Uptown Business Associations, the Meola Stream Community Liaison Group and the Mount Albert Grammar School Community Swimming Pool Trust. I also represent central local boards on the Waste Political Advisory Group, which is currently updating Auckland’s waste minimisation strategy.

It’s a privilege to serve the community I’ve lived in for most of my life, and I’d love to hear from residents about concerns, ideas, or what they love most about Albert-Eden.
