Meet our Ōwairaka subdivision candidates

  • Christina Robertson

    Dr Christina Robertson is a Sandringham resident and two-term local board member. On the local board she has stood up for safe streets, affordable housing, and investing in the services and infrastructure that a growing city needs. Her priorities on the local board are a future for Point Chev Library, making sure Albert-Eden is included in flood resilience work, and a transport network that works for everyone.

  • Emma McInnes

    Emma McInnes is a māmā, urban planner, eco festival director, and founder of the Waterview Bike Train. As a community advocate and co-founder of Women in Urbanism, she champions safer streets and public spaces, thriving green spaces, and climate action. Living in Waterview, she's committed to empowering local communities and restoring Albert-Eden's ecosystems, including a dream to bring back bats to Albert-Eden.


  • Jacqui Tay

    Jacqui Tay is a registered teacher and Mt Albert resident who has taught in Waterview and Point Chevalier since 2005. She runs the Point Chevalier Hub, which promotes local news, events and businesses. Her priorities as a grassroots community voice on the local board include equity, Te Tiriti, and community connection and cohesion.

  • Margi Watson

    Margi Watson is the current deputy chair of the Albert-Eden Local Board, and was first elected in 2010 after campaigning alongside the Mt Albert and Waterview communities for the Waterview Connection to be built as a tunnel. A trained nurse, Margi is a strong community advocate and has extensive governance experience on school boards, the Auckland Light Rail establishment unit board, as a commercial director of West Auckland Trust Services.
