I have been elected for a second term on the Puketapapa Local Board and have lead roles for transport and environmental issues including representing them on the Manukau Harbour Forum and the Aircraft Noise Community Consultiative Group.

My family has lived in four different houses in Mt Roskill since 1970. My first term on the Local Board equipped me with further knowledge about the needs of local people and about the operations of Auckland Council which I intend to apply effectively over my second term.

Careers as an economist and teacher have given me skills in analysing and communicating concerns and priorities.

My transport portfolio has had a focus on dealing with congestion by promoting light rail, double decker buses, bus lanes, park and ride and safer walking and cycling routes.

I have stood up for fairer rates; opposing plans to increase the share paid by residents and small businesses while reducing them for big businesses.

I want to see Auckland become a more liveable city for people of all ages and backgrounds.
