An elected member of the Auckland District Health Board for the past twelve years, I am involved in all aspects of board governance.
I am a Registered Nurse, having worked in various clinical and managerial roles in the health sector for the last 34 years. Currently I am a Professional Teaching Fellow in the School of Nursing at the University of Auckland.
Three areas of importance to me are equity of health services, accessibility, and maintenance of a public health service that delivers a high standard of care to our population. Clearly the board has an important role to play.
The nursing profession needs to be vocal at board level to ensure patient advocacy is maintained. I am a strong campaigner for nursing and for all members of our community.
Vote for me and the City Vision Health team using numbers 1-7.
