I have served on the Puketāpapa Local Board since 2010 and am currently Chair, after leading the Board from 2013-2016 and then serving as Deputy for the first half of the 2019-2022 term.
I’m committed to making sure Roskill has a strong voice at the Council table, and I’ve spoken up for our community and our needs over my time on the Board, not least in the fight for a high quality redevelopment of the Three Kings Quarry, and more local resources for our area.
I am a passionate advocate for education and a child-friendly Mt Roskill. I believe in strong local democracy that gives a real voice to local people. To that end I will continue to support a living wage for our families and advocate for quality affordable housing developments.
This term I have responsibility for Parks, Sport and Recreation, as well as Planning and Heritage, and I’m looking forward to making progress in these areas, building on Michael Wood’s sterling work since 2010.
I enjoy working with our community and making useful links between people and local groups, so please do get in touch with any issues or queries.
