I have been proud to represent Waitematā as a Local Board member since 2013. I have worked hard to protect our parks, open spaces and heritage buildings; Auckland is experiencing an exciting period of growth but these are a legacy that must be defended and nurtured.

I am a business broker and a city centre resident. I am committed to using my experience and knowledge to obtain maximum value for the ratepayer. Local boards cannot borrow so it is essential that we make every dollar work hard for you.

Local boards – as the name suggests – work at the most fine-grained, detailed level of local government. I scour the list of resource consent applications every week and follow up on the specifics of consents, ensuring that residents are made aware of information that shapes their neighbourhoods but may otherwise pass unnoticed and that their voices are heard by decision makers.

It is also the role of the local board to be responsive to our communities. I have worked with locals to initiate a community-led planning approach in one of our most rapidly intensifying areas with a focus on empowering present and future residents to shape their neighbourhood while allowing for greater density and vibrancy.
