Auckland Council’s Waste Strategy - Wednesday 23rd september

Auckland Council’s Waste Strategy is at risk of not meeting its targets.

Waste in large quantities is still coming to landfills, bins and illegal dumps.

The pilot study for fortnightly bin collections failed to fly.

We need to consider better plans, generate way better public engagement and develop ways to make the system commercially viable.

Join us for a panel discussion on ways forward and what we need to do.

The panel of speakers for the session is:
Julie Fairey – Auckland Councillor for Albert-Eden-Puketāpapa

Sue Coutts – Zero Waste Aotearoa

John Stansfield – Island Waste Collective on Waiheke.

The meeting will be chaired by Richard Northey.

This is event is presented jointly with The Fabians and will be streamed on Facebook Live.
