The Portage Licensing Trust, through the Trusts Community Foundation, returns funds generated in our area back to us by way of grants to schools and community groups. I am continuing serving on the Trust as an effective member managing and distributing these funds to our communities.
Also I am an elected Whau local board member and a qualified planning commissioner. Volunteers in our communities build strong and connected communities. I am committed to prudent financial management and a socially responsible approach to ensuring our communities thrive with assistance from the Trust. Working with fellow trustees I am advocating for the The Living Wage for Licensing Trust employees.
My background is in libraries. I love living in this area and I have lived here for almost fifty years.

Hello Catherine Farmer,
If what I read is correct, you would like to see the avondale spider mascot replaced with something more appealing to people. Well I for one would like to see it stay, at least it’s interesting and a bit different.
Also, what is negative about it being in the past? Connections to the past are enormously important ,and never more so when changes ahead are going to only accelerate.
Kind regards,Lorraine R.
