At the 2016 local government elections you re-elected the City Vision team to maintain a strong, effective Waitematā Local Board that delivers on issues that matter to you.

The City Vision team stand with you to build a fair, sustainable, vibrant and connected city for everyone to enjoy. Our local communities are diverse, creative and forward looking. City Vision has the values, experience and policies to help Waitematā realise its potential. Our guiding principles are available here. 

Your City Vision team on the Waitematā Local Board chair Pippa Coom, deputy Shale Chambers, with members Adriana Avendano Christie, Richard Northey, Denise Roche and Vernon Tava are committed to:

  • Meeting community priorities within budget
  • Careful financial oversight of parks, libraries, community facilities and pools
  • Funding for community groups and community-led projects
  • Support community leases for organisations such as Rape Crisis
  • Seeking out, listening and responding to community views
  • Support seven business associations and local economic initiatives
  • Support for events including Parnell Festival of Roses, Myers Park Medley, Grey Lynn Festival, Festival Italiano, Artweek and West End Tennis Cup
  • Transport choice, outstanding public transport and safe walking and cycling
  • Ecological sustainability and low carbon action plan initiatives
